Saperavi is one of only a handful of grapes worldwide with highly pigmented red flesh as well as skins; the name translates as ‘to dye’. It is a grape of incredible character, refreshing acidity with intense chocolate and cherry aromas. The wine has deep ruby colour with well-integrated soft tannins and aromas and flavours of ripe black cherries, bramble, and blueberries with notes of chocolate and cherry aromas. The wine has a refreshing high acidity and long finish.
Pairing: Delicate meat, cheese, meat charcuterie, Mediterranean cuisine
Potential for aging: at least 5-6 years
Recommended serving temperature: Best served decanted at temperature of 15-18°C.
